How to play:
The Performance Game is created to be simple, flexible, and time-efficient.
It is about collaboration, not competition, and therefore there are no winners or timelines. Set aside a dedicated amount of time and begin the game.
Step 1. Take 60 seconds of deep breathing to focus and re-set the nervous system.
Step 2. Take a round of each player stating what they wish to accomplish in this time.
Step 3. A player is selected to begin, throws the dice and moves the corresponding number of spaces. The color they land on determines the category they will draw from.
Step 4. The player draws two cards from the pile of the same color and asks them to the person next in line, who will then select which one to answer.
Step 5. The player who answered the question will continue the game by rolling the dice, picking up 2 cards, and opening a new dialogue with the next participant.
Step 6. Celebrate your successes and hold yourself accountable by documenting both accomplishments and future goals in an Accountability Journal. These can be completed for both teams and individual goals.
Additional information
- When players reach a blank tile they draw a “Carte blanche”, leaving it up to the participants to collaborate on forming their own question that is currently relevant specifically to their organization.
- If players reach the same category twice in a row, they will have to throw the dice again.
Each player contributes meaningfully to the process, bringing ideas, strategies, and innovation to the table.
