Asta Vasiliauskaite

For almost two decades, Asta has been building, leading and supporting teams in both global companies and fast-moving startups, always balancing strategy with execution.

As a leader, she turns complex data into clear marketing insights, performance, and go-to-market plans that actually move the numbers, not just slides.

Alongside her own career, Asta has generously invested in the next generation of founders and operators, by being a mentor in close to 100 hackathons and startup acceleration programmes around the world.

Through these projects, she helps newly founded teams pressure-test ideas, understand their customers, and design the foundations for sustainable growth.

As a senior marketing and growth leader, Asta has delivered measurable results across markets while modelling a different kind of leadership - one that combines commercial focus with curiosity, clarity and care for the people she works with. The synergy of her sharp analytical mind and kind nature is what led her to become part of The Performance Game's expert advisors.

How do you align strategic thinking with day-to-day execution?

I don’t see strategy and execution as separate. The best leaders move fluidly between them, zooming out to set direction and inspire, then zooming in to understand what’s actually happening on the ground.

For me, balance means starting with a sharp question, translating it into a few key levers, and staying close enough to the execution - the numbers, projects, and customer signals, to catch when reality challenges the plan.

Future leaders often feel they must choose: “Am I a strategist or an operator?”

My advice: Don’t choose. Build the ability to move between both.

The real skill isn’t writing a perfect strategy once. It’s adjusting it when the data and the team tell a different story - and having the humility to listen, trust, and let people grow.
